The City of San Francisco's official tourism arm has more Twitter followers than any other similar organization representing a U.S. city, according to worldwide rankings tabulated by SkiftSocial.

The @OnlyinSF account is quickly approaching 100,000 followers (including @EatDrinkExplore), outpacing the nation's No. 2 ranked city-sponsored destination marketing Twitter account, New York City's @NYCgo by more than 25,000.

In terms of world cities, Buenos Aires tops the listings for the marketing Twitter account @gcba with nearly a quarter million followers.

Las Vegas's @vegas, Miami's @MiamiandBeaches, and Philladelphia's @VisitPhilly round out the top 5 U.S. cities for this ranking.
